It Is Time to Quit Smoking Cigarettes For Good |

Well I can tell you the patches, gum and mints do work for a while. They help with the craving when you stop smoking cigarettes, but they do contain nicotine. The problem is the nicotine is the addictive part of smoking. If you are like me, you then get addicted to the smoking substitute. Heck, I liked the nicotine mints more than I liked cigarettes. I do not know about you but trading one addiction for another is not exactly what I had in mind. Granted it is much better that smoking that cigarette but just not what I had planned. I would guess you would rather just be done with the nicotine habit all together.
So you have been a smoker for a while now? What 5, 10, 15 maybe 20 years or more and you have really tried to quite smoking many times before? How many times have you told yourself you going to quite smoking for good this time? Maybe you did for a while for a few days, weeks, months or maybe a few years. Then something happened and you started smoking again. I know how you feel. My 31 years of smoking has seen myself quite 6 times seriously. And every time somehow, someway I ended up smoking again. There is hope though and the hardest part is to keep trying. It is important for our health and our family health to quite smoking. Even if we manage to not hurt anyone with our second hand smoke by smoking, we will still hurt the ones we love when we die at an early age from something that could have prevented.
We all know the reasons why we can not smoke anymore. * Smoking is unhealthy and has been linked to major medical conditions that cause death * Second hand smoke can hurt the ones around us and cause serious heath conditions * Is is more and more socially unacceptable to smoke anywhere * Just the fact you a smoker can cost you a promotion or even your job * It smells bad and down right repulsive to most people that do not smoke * It is a costly habit as cigarettes have increased in price 10 times over in the last 20 years
The list just goes on and on and we know the reasons by heart. Some of the medications do provide a path to quit smoking, but they are designed altar your behavior. Matter fact, most of these drugs are exactly that, behavior altering drugs that someone just noticed that have a unexpected side effect that users quit smoking. The patent looses all desire to smoke. My problem with that was it altered my personally so drastically I was not even myself anymore. Sure I did not want to smoke anymore, but I did not want or desire to do much of anything anymore. I lost a lot more than the craving to smoke. Not exactly what I had in mind either. Not the way I pictured I would quit smoking cigarettes.
Have you ever wondered how some people, even after smoking for years just put down the cigarettes and quite for good and somehow never look back? Being around smokers does not seam to bother them at all. It has always been simply amazing to me how some people seam to kick the habit so easily and other can not quite to save there life. I have seen people try everything. Drugs, pins, mints, gums, patches and countless other products that take away the cravings and for many people they have all had some success or they would not be on the market anymore.
Don't you think it is high time we find an answer that helps us kick the smoking habit without mind altering drugs, pins, swapping one addition for another and other useless products we have tried in the past. The most important thing you can do is to keep trying. I firmly believe that if you try enough things you will eventually try a product that will work for you.
